Book cover 

In March I showed you a book cover I made as an exercise for my quilt exams. I was, and still am, fascinated by van Gogh's art. Read more about this book cover and see the back- and inside  HERE.

 

 

House quilt  

 For Norwegian Quilt Association's yearly meeting in March I always make a new quilt for the member's exhibition. My younger grandson loved this quilt so much that I gave it to him. We played for hours with it, and found who was living in every house. Read more about it HERE.

 

 

The tree

 

I love to hand stitch, and this little quilt was also made for the same exhibition as the house quilt. It was a challenge with nine participants, and my quilt is in the middle row to the left. See a better picture and details of my quilt HERE.

 Meditation roll  

 In July I made my first meditation roll, or meditation scroll, and after that I've made several rolls for myself and as presents for friends. Here are three, and HERE you can see my first one. You can also watch a video of it HERE.

 

 

 

Norwegian Snowflake  

 Last year I planned to finish this quilt. And in a way I did it. But it still needs borders. Maybe I can do it next year, and get it quilted? HERE you can find the post about it.

Slow Sunday Stitching 

Best of 2024

It's time for summing up 2024 together with Cheryl.  Here is five of my favorites from this year. Enjoy, and visit Cheryl for favorites from my fellow bloggers.

 Circle Quilt

The first big quilt I finished in 2024 was this circle quilt, for an exhibition in Oslo in March. The quilt is a study of fabrics from the last 40 years. Many other quilters smiled when they saw it and remembered quilts they had made from the different fabrics. More about this quilt you can find here.

 Mini La Passion

I hand quilted my mini La Passion for the exhibition in Oslo in March. Pattern is by Grit Kovacs, the hexagons are 1/4", and there are 17 300 of them. You can read much more about this quilt and my first La Passion here and here.

Quiet books

 I've made quite a few quiet books this year. They are popular for small children. I've also held classes and seen some beautiful quilt books be made. Here and here are more about my quiet books. Here is a page from one of my books.

Micro mini quilts

Every year when May comes there is a challenge to make micro mini quilts on Lesley's Instagram. And as I love all things mini, it's perfect for me. Here is one of my minis made this year. You can also watch some others in this blog post.

Mice for Christmas

 In December I made a mouse family. And I sold them all, so now I have to start making new ones for next year. My blog post about these mice is here.  There you will find the entire family.

Colourwash quilt

The first big quilt for the year was my scrappy colourwash quilt. It was displayed in Stavanger in March, and I'm really happy with how it came out. Here you can read more about it. 

Mini La Passion

I finished the top with about 17 000 hexies, sized 1/4". Just now I've almost finished hand quilting it, and I work with the special binding on it. In March it will go to an exhibition in Oslo, and surely I have to finish it before that. Here is more about it.

Chilhowie Mystery Quilt

Bonnie Hunter's mysteries are always tempting me. This time I made a smaller version of the quilt. And I'm really happy with it. You can read more here.

Postcard from Sweden

I've wanted to make this quilt for many years. This year it came true, and here it is. And some more about it here.

Hand made bowls

I tried some hand stitching on bowls this year. And I really love the result. I've planned to make some more of them. They are so useful for keeping the different small projects in. Here is where you can find out more about that project.

Best of 2022

As usual I love to take place in Cheryl's Linky Party to review the best posts from this year. Visit Cheryl to see what favorites others have. 

As last year I've taken part in challenges from Quilt Improv Studio. It's so fun to sew without a pattern. This one is called My Little Mondrian, and was made with primary colours. Here is the story.

 

Scrappy quilts are my favorites, and I made a blue pineapple quilt this year. It was exhibited in March for the annual meeting for Norwegian Quilt Association. You can read more about it here.

This year I've tried kawandi, and made some small quilts for needle cases. Here you can see one of them. I'd like to try a bigger kawandi one day.

 Some months ago I was contacted by my friend Preeti. She had made a beautiful quilt, and was featured in Make Modern magazine. She had decided to make a pattern for sale, and asked me for being a pattern tester. As I love challenges, I said yes at once. It is a really easy and beginner friendly pattern, and gives you a beautiful result. This is my version, and here your can read more about it. You can also find it in different colourways through the blog hop. Now I'm hand quilting it.

 

As always I have to include some pincushions, as I love them so much. Here's a post about my latest pincushions, but you can find more in the side bar or here.
