A few days before Christmas we could welcome our second grandson. I've made this baby nest for him to relax in. I also made some washable protecting clothes to keep the nest clean and dry. That elephant fabric is so cute. Don't you think so? And the two brothers are the best.

At the beginning of the month I found a little block longing to become something. I took a picture, and then I put it away. This last week I tried to find it, but didn't do until yesterday. It was quite easy to make the block a little bigger, and quilt it. Some hand sewing this morning, and I have a useful mug rug.

I made some new mug rugs for this hop. This time I made them square, and log cabin is such a great way to do just that.

I had a real challenge this month, as I didn't remember what I had planned with these pieces. But I found out that putting them together gave me a round table topper I can use in a bread basket too.

I really love the challenges from Quiltimprovstudio. This time the quilt was supposed be monochromatic, we had to use different shades of just one colour. As I love blue, my quilt got blue.
It's so fun and interesting to sew without a pattern. I could just sew and cut, and fill in if the block was too small. My first thought was to keep to squares. But this last week I put in some circles or round shapes. And I love how my quilt changed by that.
The quilt named "Blues" is 25"x27", and is straight line quilted with blue Aurifil 50/2 thread. Enjoy the photoes taken by the sea yesterday.

The last days I've made some new pincushions. One of them were filled with lavender. As we had a fantastic weather this weekend, I took them out for a hike and a photo shoot. We even met a snake, a viper, the only poisonous in Norway, and I was fascinated to see the beautiful pattern on it. I didn't dare to put my pincushion next to it though.
I had a plan at the beginning of the month to finish these two small zipper pouches. Now it's done, and I have a new pouch for my mobile charger. These small pouches are so useful for many things.
Thanks to Elm Street Quilts I have finished projects every month this year. I hope to keep up the good work also the rest of the year.

I never thought I would finish this one, but now it's done, and I've got a new runner in my kitchen. I had made two hexie flowers to go with the hexies on a mug I got from a friend years ago. Now I can keep the runner and the mug together.
