Quilt-along and OMG May finish

I'm so happy with all my finishes this year. This one was started in January as a challenge from Patchwork Inspirations. A month ago it looked like this. Now it's already in a new home, and well appreciated. So fun to use old curtains and combine it with new fabrics. Size: 51"x70".

Quilt-a-long and OMG for May

Now my quilt for the curves quilt-a-long at Patchwork Inspirations is ready for quilting and binding. So my goal for May is to finish this quilt I started in January. All circle blocks are framed and joined together. Here is how it looks, and you can see the blocks before framing here.

Circles - a quilt-a-long and scrap happy day

I'm working along with my blocks for the QAL on the blog Patchwork Inspirations. This year the theme is curves. We're supposed to sew a minimum of 16 blocks, but I'll need 35 for my project. By now all the curves are finished. But as I don't like to sew them together as they are, I have to find out what's the next step. Hopefully you can see more of this on scrap happy day next month. Rutigt has got more scrappy projects to be inspired.

Circles - from old to new

On the blog Patchwork Inspirations there is a QAL every year, starting in January. This year the theme is curves. We're supposed to sew 2 blocks every week for 8 weeks. Then join the blocks, and finish a quilt at the end of May.

I had an idea for making block, and the first week I made these.

But as I regarded the blocks this week, I wasn't inspired to go on making them. So I changed, found some old fabrics, and started again. Now I've made four blocks for the first two weeks. And I'm more happy with the new ones. I might need more than 16 blocks for the project I'm thinking of.

As it's the 15th, you can find more scrappy projects at Rutigt today.
