On the blog Patchwork Inspirations there is a QAL every year, starting in January. This year the theme is curves. We're supposed to sew 2 blocks every week for 8 weeks. Then join the blocks, and finish a quilt at the end of May.
I had an idea for making block, and the first week I made these.
But as I regarded the blocks this week, I wasn't inspired to go on making them. So I changed, found some old fabrics, and started again. Now I've made four blocks for the first two weeks. And I'm more happy with the new ones. I might need more than 16 blocks for the project I'm thinking of.
As it's the 15th, you can find more scrappy projects at Rutigt today.

What a fun project. Your choice of large scale high contrast dark prints with more subtle low contrast light value prints really bring out the pattern.

ReplyDeleteMy friend, Martha, loved curved blocks. She said that she didn't have a chance to cut off a point with curves! Your blocks are wonderful and I enjoyed remembering Martha!
