 I always have lots of plans for the new year. Here you can see some of my plans.

Lupine & Laughter 

 I can't resist taking part in Bonnie Hunter's Mysteries. This year we've come to part 6, and already have made lots of bigger blocks. I think we have at least two more clues to go before the release, but one never know with Bonnie. HERE you can see my posts about this project. 

 Project Quilting

This is a fun project to take part in, as I get a kickstart with finished projects every year. You can jump in, and you'll find it at Persimon Dreams, starting the first Sunday in January. Here is one of the things I made in January.

Micro mini

Every year in May I've made some miniquilts for Leslie's challenge. Hopefully she will host this party in 2026 too. Here is one from last year. So fun to use selvages.

 Scrappy meets thrift

This year I've made small economy blocks for a challenge from Taryn. I plan to finish this quilt before the summer. Here you can see hundred blocks, but I've made 250 of them. And HERE you can see my posts about this project.

 EQA-challenge

European Quilt Assisiation hosts a challenge for European quilters every year. I made this quilt for the exhibition in September, with the theme Contrasts. The inspiration to make this I got from Martin in Bergen, with his wonderful photo from Fjellveien. Next year the theme is Insects. That's perfect for a butterfly lover. The exhibition will be in Alsace in September.

 Slow stitching

As I love slow stitching, I plan to make some more art journals. This one I made for a friend for Christmas. HERE you can see a video of the project.

2025 Planning Party

I'm always planning to start new projects, and of course to finish some old ones. As always I will be tempted by some of my fellow quilters during the year to jump into new things. Thank you all for inspiring me with your creativity. Jump over to Yvonne's blog to find out what people are planning. Maybe you can find a new project to start.

 

The first thing I plan every year is to take part in Project Quilting from Persimon Dreams. Kim and her friend Trish always have fun challenges for us. If you don't know about this challenge, you should check it out right away, starting soon. Here is one of the quilts I finished during the last challenge.

 

Right now I'm making a new quilt for an exhibition in March. All my house blocks are done, and now I have to make some trees, join all blocks, quilt and bind it. Wish me luck.

I plan to take part in the EQA (European Quilt Association) challenge. This time the theme is CONTRASTS. I can't show you my idea, but this is one of last year's Norwegian entries, made by my friend Magnhild Tautra. In Alsace at EQA's stand  we could study more than 500 entries from different countries, and it was fantastic. 

 

Next year I will try to make some more miniatures from fabric. You might know that I love all mini. I made these for a friend's Santa's house.

Bonnie Hunter started this year's mystery in November. I've made some blocks from every clue, and hope to finish a quilt this time.

 

Some more kawandi or slow stitching is also on my list. I have a secret quilt I can't show you yet. But this is one I've started.

In May I certainly will make some micro mini quilts with Lesley. They are so fun to make.

By the way, I never touched my Norwegian Snowflake Quilt this last year. Do I dare to say that the top should be finished by the end of 2025?

2024 Planning Party

 I'm always planning for the next year, and I hope to sew a lot. Thanks to all quilters out there. You inspire me a lot. There will be things tempting me, and I often just jump in. As this year I'm also looking forward to giving some classes.

 

 I'm planning to take part in Project Quilting at Persimon Dreams this year too, starting soon. It's so good to have deadlines to actually finish something. This is one of the things I finished last year.

I will finish my mini La Passion an have it in an exhibition in Oslo in March. The top is finished, and the quilting is going well.

I've started IndigoWay mystery by Bonnie Hunter, and hope to finish a smaller version of it during the summer.

This year I also hope to finish my long term project Norwegian Snowflake. I've not done anything with it this year. Now I have to dig it up.

I've had a dream of making a fish quilt. In February @quiltsfromtheattic is hosting a sew-along, and I hope to take part there.

 

I'm making circles just now, hoping to have a quilt during February. I don't really know how this is going to look like in the end, but I love the project.

Midweek Makers 

2023 Planning Party

 As always I plan some projects for the new year. And I know that there will be many other projects popping up and tempting me during the year. Thanks to you and all the inspiration I can find on your blogs, I will never run out of work by my sewing machine.

 

These are the things I know I'll be working on in the new year.

As always I'm starting the new year with Project Quilting at Persimon Dreams. I love those challenges to make a quilt in a week, starting right at the beginning of the year. This is the smallest of the quilts I made this year. I finished it like a postcard and sent it to France.

 

I love blog hops, and will take part in some of them next year too. So much inspiration, and even if I do not take part myself, I can look at what others make for a special theme. The first blog hop for me will be on the blog Creatin' in the Sticks in January.

I will soon finish the top on my mini La Passion with more than 17 000 hexagons, size 1/4". After that i will start hand quilting it, and hopefully I will be at least half way done at the end of the year.

I'm making a colourwash quilt, started in October, and will finish the blocks for it during January. I plan to have it all finished at the beginning of March.

I take part in Bonnie Hunter's Mystery quilt this year, and plan to finish that quilt too next year. I'm not making full size now, but as the blocks look very pretty, I might be tempted to make some more of them. 

I have some other long term quilts I hope to finish, and I know I will start some new too. And in between the bigger projects I love to do smaller projects, as pincushions. I'm sure I will make some new ones soon.

Hopefully I will do some improv quilting in the new year together with Quilt Improv Studio. These are so fun, and I've learnt a lot from their challenges. This is one I made this year. The theme was pop art.

2021 Planning Party

At the end of every year I'm always looking for new projects for the new year to come. Time to start planning, and just the right time to participate in Quilting Jetgirls's Planning Party.

 

Next year I plan to go on making blocks for Sewcialites by Fat Quarter Shop, 2 every week until June. I love these small blocks. 

I hope to go on making 10 hexies a day on my mini La Passion. The hexies are 1/4", and the pattern is from Grit Kovacs. 

I'm going to finish at least three bigger quilts. One of them is my OMG project for December.

Then I will take part in some blog hops. So happy also to see what others make in these hops.

I hope to make the one-week challenges in Project Quilting by Persimon Dreams, starting soon.

I've signed up for a curved challenge on a French blog, Patchwork Inspirations, starting next week.

Curated Quilts have four challenges every year, and I love those. Maybe I can make a quilt or two.

I'm sure I'll find bigger or smaller temptations during the year to jump on. I love to start projects. And I have a hope that I can reuse some old fabrics too. My blogging will continue also next year, hopefully with a post twice a week. 

Thank you all for nice comments on my blog this year. I try to answer your questions, but I don't always have the time to send a mail. But I appreciate you all. And I try to revisit your blogs.
