Pincushions

After weeks where my sewing machine hasn't been working with me, I now found out what was wrong. Now it sews so well, hopefully. I had to test it by making some new pincushions. These are made with selvages, and are so fun to make.  

Many of you have asked what I stuff them with. And here you can see, all the tiniest scraps. The pincushions will be stable and the needles won't go through.

Pincushions and nature

The last days I've made some new pincushions. One of them were filled with lavender. As we had a fantastic weather this weekend, I took them out for a hike and a photo shoot. We even met a snake, a viper, the only poisonous in Norway, and I was fascinated to see the beautiful pattern on it. I didn't dare to put my pincushion next to it though.

Mini pincushions

This week I've made some new pincushions. They are so great to take out for a photo shoot. And I love to use selvages and small pieces of fabric to make something new.

Magical pincushions

I made some sort of a magical pincushion. You can use it on both sides, just look here.

I also made a mini. I'm trying to fill my glass, but it's almost impossible. There's always somebody here to pick up a new little pincushion.

Scrap Happy Day November

Mid November, and the day for my scrappy quilt. I made two new blocks, and I also got time to prepare for two new pincushions. Selvages are so fun to sew. Look for more scrappy projects on my friend Rutigt's blog today.

Mini nåleputer

I disse dager er det mange som syr bittesmå nåleputer. Instagramkontoen @tinkerellen har oppfordret oss til å sy nåleputer som er mindre enn 3"x3" eller 7,5x7,5 cm. Her er de jeg har sydd til nå. Håper å fylle hele Norgesglasset.

Many people are making mini pincushions these days. @tinkerellen has challenged us to make teenytiny pincushions smaller than 3"x3". Here are mine until now. I hope to fill this glass.

I've also got two new pincushions in Bea's pincushionswap. Thank you Olga and Dianne.

Micromini

Dette er andre året jeg er med på denne utfordringen. Ble ikke mer enn to microminiquilter denne gangen. Begge er 4"x4".

I've been taking part in a micromini challenge in May. Only two quilts, but I love them both. They are 4"x4".

Scrap Happy Day i mai

Min svenske bloggvenninne Rutigt inspirerer oss hver måned med nye resteprosjekter. Du finner også en liste over andre som syr fine ting av små restebiter. Jeg har sydd noen nye blokker på dette som tilslutt skal bli en hel quilt. Noen småstykker av jarekanter ble også sydd sammen.

My Swedish blog friend Rutigt inspires us every month with scappy projects. You'll also find a list of others using their smallest scraps. I did some new blocks for this project, going to  be a new quilt in the end. I also put together some small pieces of selvages.

Brikke

Måtte bare sy litt på symaskinen. Det ble en ny brikke med jarekanter, så nå har jeg to.

I had to use my sewing machine today. It ended up with a new selvage mug rug, so now I've got 2. As I've not finished much this month, this must be my favorite.

Selvages

I love to use every inch of my fabrics. And selvages are so pretty. For a challenge at Curated Quilts I've made this little mini quilt. The challenge was "Well said". And as you may understand, I've called my quilt "Read between the seams".
