The micromini challenge is ending, and I managed to make nine miniquilts during the month. Here are the last six. And here you can see the first three.
Thank you Lesley for your challenges every month of May.

This week has been mild and with much sunshine, but also rain. The spring flowers are popping up everywhere, and I find it the best season of the year.

I've taken part in the #microminisal this month, as I do in May every year. Good to just make and finish something without having to plan at all. These are my takes in this challenge. So nice to use as small presents for friends I meet in the summer holiday. They are all between 2" and 3" square. You can see it with a spool on the second picture.

Working my way through the Miniquilt Monday blocks. This week we got a pinwheel variation, and my blocks are as usual 6 1/2". Will give 6" blocks in my finished red and white quilt later this year. I'm so happy to put in use my red scraps. I found a box with 6" scraps, and with such small blocks they will give me many of them.
I've also sewn together the small triangle leftovers from these blocks. This little block is only 2 3/4", and you may see in the last picture how small it really is.

This week's block for Miniquilt Monday was too big for my red and white project. It is a beautiful block, so you can easily be tempted to do it. I'm collecting 6" blocks, so I found one of the earlier blocks, The Maple Star Block. I made two scrappy stars.
My scraps typically are smaller than 2", but I found a box with 6" red scraps. As these blocks are so small, I can get many blocks from those scraps. I also have scraps of that light fabric, off cuts from the back side of quilts I've handed over to my longarm quilter. So this quilt will not end up as scrappy as my works usually are.

I've often worked with blue and white, but just now I think I'm hooked on red blocks. This one is a part of Miniquilt Monday, and I made two of them this week too. It's named Broken Dishes. They work quite well with the blocks from last week, don't you think so?

If you have scraps, the perfect thing to do is to make some mini quilts. More scrappy projects at Rutigt. These are my miniquilts for #microminisal this week.
A little glimpse of my garden just now. The first rhododendrons are blooming, and they're just beautiful.
This weekend I've made two miniquilts. I love scrappy, as you all may know. And it's easy and fast to hand sew the bindings when they are so small, 3" and 6".
I'm always looking forward to the challenges from Persimon Dreams at the beginning of each year. This is the first this year, and the challenge was Illuminating + Ultimate Grey. I made it all scrappy, and had great fun taking pictures of it, as you might see. Size: 7"x11".

I've done block 3, Affection block, and of course I had to do that one reversed too. So here they are, so crisp and tiny in the beautiful autumn nature.

It's autumn, and the colours are changing. With a beautiful weather today, I went out with my just finished hot pad to take some photoes. I've also made some of the blocks from a class I took last weekend, all in red. And the small blocks are increasing in number day by day. Happy to have made something red for the RSC.
