Stjerner i sikte

Har såvidt kommet igang med blokkene for april i RSC19. De skal være turkis, og jeg har dessverre ikke mye av den sorten. Men noen blokker skal det vel bli, to denne uken. Tok dem ut i sola, og da kan du også se at det er like før hekken spretter ut grønn og fin.

I just started the April RSC19, and the colour is aqua. I have just a few scraps that colour, but I made two blocks at least. Out in the sun you may see that the trees are starting to be green here.

Grønne fargeblyanter

Siden det er siste lørdagen i mars, så må jeg få vist fram de grønne fargeblyantene jeg har sydd for Rainbow scrap challenge. Inspirasjonen til disse fikk jeg fra bloggen Making a Lather for noen uker siden.

Last Saturday in March, and I've made some green crayons for the Rainbow scrap challenge. Inspiration for these blocks I got from Making a Lather a couple of weeks ago. Thank you so much.

RSC grønn

Denne månedens blokker er grønne. Og det passer bra nå når det spirer og gror ute. Riktignok har vi fått litt snø siste dagene, men håper det smelter fort.

This month's colour is green. So happy to see that nature is turning green too. A little bit of snow the last days, but hopefully it will disappear soon.

Om du klikker på linken til Soscrappy finner du mange idéer til gule blokker. Tidligere i uka sydde jeg to blokker som hører med i utfordringen. De er 5" nå, og 4,5 ferdig montert i en quilt. I tillegg har jeg sydd disse tre blokkene.

If you visit Soscrappy you'll find ideas for beautiful yellow blocks. Earlier this week I made two blocks from the challenge. They are 5" now, but will end up 4,5" in a quilt. Today I've made three new blocks.

FAL first finish, RSC yellow and winners

I find it so perfect for February's yellow challenge to repost this beautiful batik quilt I finished for the Island Batik blog hop a couple of weeks ago. Here you can see what my plans for this quilt looked like in the beginning of January. I've also made some small blocks with my tiniest scraps. I've drawn winners for my pincushions and sent them mail. My blog hop posts are updated with the winners, if you like to see who won.

Ny lørdag, og nye røde blokker for Rainbow Scrap Challenge hos Soscrappy. Siste uken med rødt, og disse har jeg sydd denne uken innimellom alt det jeg skulle ha ferdig. Måtte også prøve denne 3D-blokken fra Quilting on the Crescent. Så får jeg finne ut hva jeg skal bruke disse til etterhvert.

Saturday, and time for new blocks for Rainbow Scrap Challenge with Soscrappy. Last red Saturday, and in between all the things I've finished this week, I've squeezed in these red blocks. And I had to try this 3D bow tie block from Quilting on the Crescent.

Rainbow Scrap Challenge

På bloggen Soscrappy finner du en utfordring som går ut på å sy opp alle dine restebiter. Hver måned er det en ny farge, og januar er rød. Har sydd to resteblokker, men jeg tror måneden må vare lenge om jeg skal få brukt opp alle røde rester. Har også vært på kurs og lært nye applikasjonsteknikker. Ett av arbeidene er den fine røde hjerteblokken.

On the blog Soscrappy we're challenged to use all our scraps. Every month we get a new colour, and January is red. I made two scrappy blocks, but the box is still full, hm... I also took a class and learnt different ways to applique. One of the things I made is this beautiful heart block.

Røde småbiter

Dette året har jeg tenkt å være med på noe som heter RSC19, Rainbow Scrap Challenge, der vi syr sammen småbiter i alle regnbuens farger gjennom året. Januar er rød, så derfor har jeg funnet fram resteboksen min og startet med noen små blokker. Har også sydd noen røde blomster.

This year I will try to jump into the RSC19, Rainbow Scrap Challenge, where we use scraps in all colours throughout the year. January is red, so I found my box of red scraps and made a start. I've also made some red flowers in EPP.
