On the blog Soscrappy we're challenged to use all our scraps. Every month we get a new colour, and January is red. I made two scrappy blocks, but the box is still full, hm... I also took a class and learnt different ways to applique. One of the things I made is this beautiful heart block.

I made three blocks and my boxes are stacked full lol - oh well it used some of them up right - yours too
ReplyDeleteThe heart is gorgeous! Is that free-motion stitching around the edge?
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to try something new. Awesome RED heart block!
ReplyDeleteCute heart block. I like the curly lacey looking edge. I like your red scrap blocks. I don’t have as many scraps as you, but I’m sure I’d have to make half a quilt to destash my scraps. You would maybe need to make a whole quilt. LOL
Takk for inspirasjon! :-)
ReplyDeletebeautiful heart fabric and stitching. Scrap bins will always be full won't they? If we're lucky! That's were we find the treasures!
ReplyDeleteI love the heart block! Is it stitched free motion using a zig zag stitch?
ReplyDeleteNice appliqué heart!
ReplyDeleteWell done with the scraps! It’s a good way to use them up.
Hugs,
Barbara xx

ReplyDeleteI think your heart block is wonderful. Looks like you learned the new technique with ease.
