A Happy Handful - the last theme for this year from Persimon Dreams. This was just perfect for me, as I will have few hours to sew this week. And I needed a mini pincushion to bring with me. Perfect in a little box with embroidery floss.

Project Quilting 17 - 5
My Complements is this week's challenge from Persimon Dreams. I chose two complementary colours and made a little one block quilt. Then I turned it into a sweet pincushion, as I often do. I really love how this one turned out.

Project Quilting 17 - 3
Year of the Horse is this week's theme from Persimon Dreams. I sorted through all my fabrics, hundreds of different animals, but no horse. Suddenly I got a glimpse of a horse. It might be a donkey, but anyway, I had to use it. Then I made a little quilt out of it, and transformed it into a pincushion.

Follow your arrow, that's the challenge this week from Kim and Trish on Persimon Dreams. And as I have so little time this week too, I had to make a new pincushion. I think this will be the year of pincushions and miniature cushions for the challenge. But I love pincushions, so here it is.

Pincushions
After weeks where my sewing machine hasn't been working with me, I now found out what was wrong. Now it sews so well, hopefully. I had to test it by making some new pincushions. These are made with selvages, and are so fun to make.
Many of you have asked what I stuff them with. And here you can see, all the tiniest scraps. The pincushions will be stable and the needles won't go through.

Project Quilting 15 - 3
Inside out, that's the challenge from Persimon Dreams this week. Just now I'm concerned about hexagons to finish my last La Passion. So the first thing I thought about was...... hexagons. And I try to keep these challenges scrappy. After digging in my black and white scrap bin, I found some fabric pieces to use for this project.
Turning the fabrics inside out, making hexagons and sew them to a piece of denim, also inside out, gave me this fun pincushion. And as I also love pincushions, this was perfect for me.

Lavendel

Call Me Crazy Sew it-Show it Challenge
Sometimes I have a feeling my friends and family call med crazy with all my fabrics and sewing related things I'm into. And actually I can feel crazy myself from time to time. But it's a good way of being crazy. After all I meet other crazy ladies on my way, and feel comfortable spending time with them.
Joan of Moose Stash Quilting is organizing a blog hop showing many of us crazy folks this week. I couldn't resist jumping in. And I've already seen some really crazy things. You can do it too by visiting her blog post with all the links.
This spring I was stumbling over a FB group for hand stitching. I like to learn new things, so I jumped in with Stephanie in The Ugly Stitch Club. There I can try and fail, and everybody is so nice with each other in the comments. And I've learnt a lot. These hand stitched fabric bowls I made after a great tutorial from Stephanie. They are super fun to make, and I am hooked. We're happy to grow the group, so please check it out.
It's so calming to hand stitch these snippets for the bowl, and I had to make one more for this blog hop.

I have another crazy project going on, my mini La Passion. The top is now finished with about 17 000 hexies sized 1/4". Now I'm hand quilting it, and it's going faster than I had thought. You can find links to my two big hand stitched hexie projects in the side bar.
As I'm a crazy pincushion lover and maker, I have to show you my crazy quilt pincushions. The back sides are pretty too. The nature here is purple just now, as you can see.

Pincushions
No activity here this last month. I'm working on some secret projects at the moment, and can't show you yet. Some of the items I've made are for a blog hop coming up next week HERE. My day is Wednesday, but there will be lots of inspiration from Monday already. So just wait and see.
I had to make some pincushions though. Here are two of them. I love that I can use all my tiniest scraps in these ones. Welcome back next week.

Micromini
It's May and time for micromini quilts. My first ones this time are made into beautiful pincushions. And when I first started, I couldn't stop. So I made six of them, two with tabs. I don't often use these colours, but now I see that they are beautiful.

Shades of Blue Blog Hop
This week is the first blog hop this year from Carla at Creatin' in the Sticks. And you're going to see so many beautiful blue quilts and ideas for things to make. For me January has been almost all blue what comes to quilting. So fun, as Carla challenged us to show you our winter blues.
I made this little hot pad. I love making these small house quilts, 7" x 11". You can see the chickens have left the building.

I'll show you some of my other blue projects this month. This is the one I made for Project Quilting.
I'm participating in a QAL where we make houses. And all my houses are blue. This is one of my houses, and there will be at least 16 in the end.
As always in blog hops I make pincushions. This time I had some beautiful selvages to make them from. It ended up with four, and my Crazy bird is looking after them. Luckily he's blue also.
