Project Quilting 17 - 4

Of another era, the theme from Persimon Dreams this week. I took some duvet covers from the 70s, made some 16-patches, and wondered what I could do with them. As I needed some project bags, I went for a new drawstring bag. And as I found it so fun to do, there were suddenly two new bags on my table. All fabrics here are old fabrics from the 70s.

Scrappy denim pouches

I took all my tiniest little red scraps (ok, not all) and some old denim jeans to make these three small pouches. But I must admit I still struggle with the zipper on top. They look good in my fantastic rhododendron.

Recycled drawstringbags

I love using recycled fabrics. And I love all those beautiful and colourful fabrics they used for bed linen in the 70s and 80s. So here are some new drawstring bags made with a mix of all those colours.

Scrap Happy October

Mid month is always scrappy together with Rutigt. I've started a new pineapple quilt, and the first block is finished. I'll need 63 for this project, so a long way to go. Four new blocks for the scrappy up-cycled quilt is also made, and next month I will have enough blocks to start joining them.

Scrap Happy September

Every mid month I continue making these scrappy and recycled blocks. Soon I have enough blocks for another quilt. For more scrappy inspiration visit Rutigt's Scrap Happy Day

When I made my four blocks of the month, I suddenly found that one of them was not as the others. I might have a new option for these blocks. What do you think? This time I had to unpick and resew the block.

Scrap Happy August

I love working scrappy. And these are two projects I always grow in the middle of every month for Rutigt's Scrap Happy Day. I'm so happy when I can use scraps and old fabric.

Tomorrow is the start of ORANGE YOU GLAD blog hop by Carla. Tuesday is my day, and you'll find more scrappy things from me there.

Scrap Happy June

Mid month, and I've started a new scrappy and recycled quilt. I love using old fabrics, and here I have mostly curtains. Please visit Rutigt and her linky party to find more scrappy projects.

And I made two more pages for scrap books. I love to use my scraps like this.

And before I posted, I even made another page. But scraps are multiplying, so I've not seen the bottom of my box yet.

Quilt-along and OMG May finish

I'm so happy with all my finishes this year. This one was started in January as a challenge from Patchwork Inspirations. A month ago it looked like this. Now it's already in a new home, and well appreciated. So fun to use old curtains and combine it with new fabrics. Size: 51"x70".

OMG March finish

Today I finished the last stings on the binding. Thanks to Elm Street Quilts this quilt with recycled materials is ready to hang on my wall. Here you can see it at the beginning of the month. It's a windy day here today, but I still got some nice photoes outside. Size: 106 x 146 cm or 42"x58". Enjoy.

The quilt is longarm quilted by Sølvi Quiltestudio.

Denim quilt

I forgot to show you this wall hanging made of all recycled materials a while ago. I love using old denim jeans in my projects. Here I've combined it with parts of a curtain, and used applique and reverse applique in the different "pictures" in this piece.
