RSC blocks

 This month I couldn't continue with my red blocks, as the Rainbow Scrap Challenge called for aqua. So I made a couple of aqua star blocks. Last year I made many blocks for this star quilt, and maybe I can finish it by the end of this year. I found this pattern on the blog  auntemsquilts. She's got so many scrappy ideas.

Findings in plastic bags

This week I've been looking for a special fabric I know I have somewhere. I didn't find it, but instead I found this. Years ago, before I started my blog, I made this beautiful star. I don't know what it was intended to become, but I really love it. And I have to do something with it.

After some digging in the box, I found another bag. Obviously I had started stars in other colours too.

 And at last I found a third bag with more stripe blocks. And there was also more fabrics to match. So now I have a new challenge going on. And I love it.

Finished star quilt

Since January I've been working with stars for a quilt through Béa et Cécile quilt-a-long. This weekend I finished it. And as the weather was good yesterday, I took my quilt out for a photoshoot. Size 160x220 cm or 63"x87". Quilted by Sølvi Quiltestudio. Hope you all enjoy these pictures.

Stars again

For Béa et Cécile quilt-a-long, I have joined all the stars. I've struggled a bit with the borders. Now I have tried to cut some new squares. I could keep it all blue, but I like a bit of white too. I've tried two different options here. What do you like the best?

I could just sew white and blue borders. Think I have to use some more days to think of it.

The star from Em's scrapbag got a blue/green background this week. Look at some of the other stars here.

A new star from Em's scrapbag this week too. With lime background I can see it glow. Look at all the other stars here.

As for Béa et Cécile quilt-a-long, I have joined all the stars. Now I just need some more blue squares and some borders.

Stars on Tuesday

I've made some new four-patches, and joined some more stars for Béa et Cécile quilt-a-long. Hopefully all the stars and squares will be there by next Tuesday.

Weekly stars

The latest Tuesdays I've shown you the progress on two star projects. And I promised to show you  all the blocks together for the stars from Em's scrapbag, as long as I've come by now. This week my star got teal background. These blocks will be 12" square in the quilt. I will need some more before I can join them.

I've continued to join the stars for Béa et Cécile quilt-a-long.  I'm quite happy with the progress. But now I need some more blue four-patches for the last rows. Hope to show you more next week.

Tuesday stars

Today I've started to join the stars for Béa et Cécile quilt-a-long.  I've used some fourpatches I had made earlier for a project I never finished. I think this is going to work well.

For my bigger stars I have still more backgrounds to use. And this week my scrapbusting star with pattern from Em's scrapbag  got a dark blue background. These blocks are 12" square. I'll show you all the blocks together next week.

Tuesday stars

The last two stars for Béa et Cécile quilt-a-long today, and now I have finished all the stars for this project. I've not decided how to join them yet. Looking forward to playing around with them the next week.

This week my scrapbusting star with pattern from Em's scrapbag  got a pink background. They are so fun to make, and I have used lots of small neutral scraps.
