I am sailing

 I love hand sewing projects. And these small sailboat quilts have got a bit of hand sewing around the edges. And I can use up some of my small denim scraps as well. I think they will be great souvenirs for sailors.

Book cover and a snowman

 A while ago I made this book cover inspired by Vincent van Gogh. It has been a secret project, but now I can show you. On the front side I have put "'Starry night" and on the back side it's "Sunflowers". I used old denim scraps and other small pieced from my scrap bag. The inside is also hand quilted, as you can see.

I made a little snowman yesterday. He's struggling with the higher temperatures today. Hopefully he will be the last snowman here this winter.

Using denim scraps

 I love denim scraps, and they're so good to use to free hand embroider on. Now I've started a new book cover. The back side is not so pretty, but I have a plan for it. Hopefully I can show more next month if I find the time to continue this work.

Scrappy denim pouches

 I took all my tiniest little red scraps (ok, not all) and some old denim jeans to make these three small pouches. But I must admit I still struggle with the zipper on top. They look good in my fantastic rhododendron.

OMG finish for September

I had a plan at the beginning of the month to finish these two small zipper pouches. Now it's done, and I have a new pouch for my mobile charger. These small pouches are so useful for many things.

Thanks to Elm Street Quilts I have finished projects every month this year. I hope to keep up the good work also the rest of the year.

Denim quilt

I forgot to show you this wall hanging made of all recycled materials a while ago. I love using old denim jeans in my projects. Here I've combined it with parts of a curtain, and used applique and reverse applique in the different "pictures" in this piece.

A little bag and gifts 19 - 24 in my advent calendar

This little denim bag I made as a Christmas present, and now I can show it.

Drawstring bag

Last weekend I made a new drawstring bag. I love to put my phone charger in it to find it in my hand bag. It can also be used for other purposes, and here I tried to keep my hexie project in it. It's a good recycle or reuse project. And it must be a fun thing for a cat lover.

Teppe til picnic

Under opprydding fant jeg et halvferdig teppe sydd av gamle dongeribukser. Dette måtte jeg få ferdig. Fant noen gamle gardiner og lagde en fin bakside. Alt på dette teppet er gjenbruk.

Some days ago I found an old unfinished quilt, and decided to finish it at last. I found some old curtains for the back side. All materials in this one are reused.

Denim bag

Nå bør vi bruke tøynett når vi handler, så dermed sydde jeg dette. Gjenbruk av gamle bukser hjelper også, og så fikk jeg brukt noen av sekskantene jeg sydde i høst.

With too much plastic around, it's good to have made this bag, reuse of old jeans. And I also used some of the hexies I made the last months.

For katteelskere

Har sydd to små barnetoalettmapper eller reisetoalettmapper for katteelskere. Fint å ha med seg når en skal reise med fly uten å sende bagasje.

I made two children's or travellers toilet bags today. They are also good for cat lovers, and you may keep goodies for your cat in them. A nice denim reuse project too.

Årets grønneste uke

Har ikke hatt tid til å sy eller lage bloggposter denne uken. Det er den grønneste uken i året, der alt springer ut. Og da må man ut og nyte våren. Sydde en nålepute tidligere i uken som fikk bli med ut på fotosafari. Månedens farge i RSC16-utfordringen er også grønn.  Så jeg sydd to nye sirkler til samlingen.

 The back side

I've had no time to sew or post this week. It's the greenest week of the year. All nature is turning light green, and you have to be out there to enjoy. I made a pincushion earlier this week, and took it with me on a photo safari. And I made two more circles in the RSC16 challenge, where this month is also green.
