Drawstring bag

Last weekend I made a new drawstring bag. I love to put my phone charger in it to find it in my hand bag. It can also be used for other purposes, and here I tried to keep my hexie project in it. It's a good recycle or reuse project. And it must be a fun thing for a cat lover.

Scrap Happy July

Middle of the month, and time for my scrappy project again. You'll find more scrappy projects if you visit Rutigt today. I think I've decided the layout for this quilt. But first I need 12 more blocks. Hopefully the top will come together in December. Here are my three blocks for this month, and the beginning of the next one.

Midt i måneden igjen, og tid for scrappy blokker. Dette prosjektet vokser litt hver måned. Så håper jeg å sy alle blokkene sammen når jeg har nok. Flere scrappy poster finner du hos Kate.

Mid September already, and time for scrappy blocks. Every month I make some new blocks, and will put them together when I have enough for a throw quilt. More scrappy ideas by Kate.

Show and Tell Monday with Bambi 

Uglefamilie

Tok fram ei gammel bukse og klippet ut ugler. Brukte noen av mine minste restebiter til pynt, og vips så hadde jeg fått en hel uglefamilie. Kan brukes på en nålepute, på en pose, som kjøleskapsmagnet eller bare som pynt på en oppslagstavle.

I found some old jeans and cut out a bunch of owls. With the help of my smalleste scraps, I suddenly had a whole owl family. It can be used on a pincushion, on a drawstring bag, with a magnet on your fridge or just as a cutie on your design wall.

All About Strings Blog Hop

Welcome to my day in Carla's blog hop "All about strings". Be sure to visit her blog to take part in her giveaway. As I love scraps, I've made my things scrappy. But I didn't empty my scrap bins.

 

The first little quilt I made is from a block of blue and green strings. I cut 4 triangles and matched them with black fabric. I'm quite happy with this little mug rug.

Then I made a little needle case. So fun and easy. Just use your strings and make yourself one in an afternoon.

I made some string blocks for a quilt, but I was not able to finish this one. But I can show you the finished one. I used squares cut from old curtains, and put strings on one side. I love using recycled materials, and will finish this later.

Teppe til picnic

Under opprydding fant jeg et halvferdig teppe sydd av gamle dongeribukser. Dette måtte jeg få ferdig. Fant noen gamle gardiner og lagde en fin bakside. Alt på dette teppet er gjenbruk.

Some days ago I found an old unfinished quilt, and decided to finish it at last. I found some old curtains for the back side. All materials in this one are reused.

Denim bag

Nå bør vi bruke tøynett når vi handler, så dermed sydde jeg dette. Gjenbruk av gamle bukser hjelper også, og så fikk jeg brukt noen av sekskantene jeg sydde i høst.

With too much plastic around, it's good to have made this bag, reuse of old jeans. And I also used some of the hexies I made the last months.

Nåleputer og symapper

Fikk tid til å sitte litt med symaskinen idag. Og da får jeg sydd noen småting ferdig. Dessuten har jeg fått noen fine nåleputer i posten siste ukene.

I had a couple of hours by the sewing machine today, and here is what I made. I love those small pincushions, and also made some new sewing pouches. Two of the pincushions I have sent away, and the last two I got in my mailbox some days ago.

Har sydd to små barnetoalettmapper eller reisetoalettmapper for katteelskere. Fint å ha med seg når en skal reise med fly uten å sende bagasje.

I made two children's or travellers toilet bags today. They are also good for cat lovers, and you may keep goodies for your cat in them. A nice denim reuse project too.

Tok fram et teppe som jeg sydde for noen år siden. Dere kan sikkert kjenne igjen noen gamle stoffer her. Rammene er Kaffe Fassett, og ellers er det rester av lappestoff og brukte tekstiler. Ikke så langt fra å være moderne akkurat nå.

Today I found one of my older quilts. You may recogize some of the fabrics. The frames are Kaffe Fassett, and the rest is a mix of old quilt fabrics and reused fabrics. In some way it is sort of modern just now.
