Adventurous Applique and FAL second finish

Today I finished the challenge for April from Island Batik. My quilting sewing machine foot didn't work, and I couldn't find the right one from any of my friends. So I had to use my ordinary pressure foot. But I'm happy with that. I have to buy another quilting foot soon.

The fabrics from Island Batik, are just perfect to use in landscapes, as you can see. This series is called Costal Mist. And I made a bike bringing those beautiful fabrics around to you all. Yey, here we come! You can find more about the fabrics on this blog from Island Batik.

I first finished the background, then appliqued the bike.

I used thread from Superior Threads for quilting. The colours worked very well with the fabrics.

Il est fini! FAL first finish.

Mon quilt pour Béa et Cecile Quilt-a-long est fini, et je suis très heureuse.

Yesterday after midnight I finished this quilt for Béa and Cecile Quilt-a-long. This is also my first finish for FAL17. I really like how it came out. We made two log cabin blocks every week for eight weeks. I made them wonky and scrappy, as I love such quilts. Here are some photoes of my housequilt. Så vidt innen tidsfristen fikk jeg denne quilten i Béa og Cecile sin quilt-a-long ferdig. Er veldig fornøyd med hvordan den ble tilslutt. Trykk på linken og se mange andre flotte log cabin quilter.

Finish-a-long Q2

Tid for nye mål for å få noen UFOer ferdig. Leanne på bloggen She can quilt har nå åpnet for neste kvartal, og jeg satser friskt på å bli ferdig med noen flere arbeider.

Time for new goals, and Leanne on the blog She can quilt helps us along. I plan to finish at least two projects, and I know that I will start some new too.

My housequilt will soon be quilted and finished, I hope.

And I'm going to make an appliqué quilt from these Costal Mist fabrics from Island Batik.

En Provence - FAL Q1

In January I planned to finish my Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt started in November. Today I made the last stitch, and luckily it was nice weather to take some beautiful pictures outside. Sølvi Quiltestudio did the quilting, and I love the way she did it.

I januar planla jeg å sy ferdig mysteriequilten med mønster av Bonnie Hunter som jeg hadde startet i november. I dag tok jeg siste stingene på lukkekanten, og det passet fint å ta det med ut for å få noen fine bilder i solskinnet. Teppet er fint quiltet av Sølvi Quiltestudio.

Finish-a-long Q1

Satser på å få ferdig noen av mine arbeider i det nye året. Leanne på bloggen She can quilt er også dette året vert for en finish-a-long, og det hjelper meg å få ferdig noe i alle fall. Dette har jeg planer om å få ferdig i løpet av de første tre månedene.

I hope to finish some of my ufos this year, too. Leanne on She can quilt is hosting a FAL, and that helps me finishing something at least. This is my goal for the first quarter.

 Har begynt på noen blokker i log-cabin, og håper dette kan bli en ferdig quilt om et par måneder.

I've started some log.cabin blocks, and hope to sew some more of them, and to make a quilt in a couple of month's time.

 
Har startet sammensying av denne mystery-quilten fra Bonnie Hunter, og håper å få den ferdig snart.
