Micromini month

May is the month of miniquilts. And Lesley is the queen of minis and is hosting the challenge also this year. I can not resist the temptation of making some minis. These are for the first ten days of the month, two doll house cushions and a mini selvage quilt. Hope to make more during May. You can join in whenever you like this month.

Slow stitching on a Sunday

The last two weeks I've made lots of hexies for my mini La Passion. First I made six more flowers, and then I made six other sections. All of them are now joined to the main work, so I'm quite happy with that. The last sections I had to take outside, as we have snow just now.

I finished my little mini hexagon doll quilt today. This has got 163 quarter inch hexies. It's beautiful.

I found some triangle blocks in a bag, and made a new one too. I don't know what this is going to be, and can't remember if I had a plan when I started this. Maybe another doll quilt?

Project Quilting 9-6 Scraptastic

Last challenge from Persimon Dreams is scraptastic. This is perfect for me, as I love scrap quilts. I cut out 1,5" squares from different scraps, and mixed them with a white fabric to give me 4x4 blocks. 6 blocks like that gave me the whole quilt. It's free motion quilted with small hearts in the white squares. The size is about 11"x 15".

Siste utfordringen hos Persimon Dreams for denne gangen heter scraptastic. Det passer meg bra siden jeg elsker å sy med smårester. Etter å ha kuttet kvadrater på 1,5" i forskjellige farger samt hvite, sydde jeg 4x4 i blokker. Seks slike blokker gikk med til dette dokketeppet. Det er frihandsquiltet med små hjerter i de hvite firkantene. Størrelsen er omtrent 11"x 15". Det er mulig å stemme på meg fra søndag kveld og noen dager framover ved å klikke på den første linken under bildene. Jeg er nummer 44.

Q1 FAL - third finish Sampler quilt

Dette blir den tredje ferdige quilten i Leanne's FAL. Skulle vel egentlig ha blitt ferdig før jul, men så ble det i alle fall til påske. I utgangspunktet var det var Temecula sin julekalender. Trykk på lenken og finn alle postene om denne quilten, samt lenke til mønsteret.

This is the third quilt I finish for Leanne's FAL. This was originally supposed to be a Christmas quilt, but ended up as an Easter quilt. It was Temecula's advent calendar last year. Dokkeseng

Hadde noen røde kvadrater liggende fra en tidligere runde med dokkesengetøy. Ettersom jeg for tiden prøver å finne og få ferdig noen av mine gamle arbeider, så gjorde jeg likegodt denne ferdig idag.

I found some squares in a box, and decided to make some more of these duvet and pillow covers for the doll.

Liten quilt til dokka

Har quiltet dette dokketeppet idag. Det ble frihåndsquiltet med hjerter over det hele. Er fornøyd med at det er fjerde måneden jeg klarer å gjøre ferdig en UFO, alt takket være A Lovely Year of Finishes. Miniquilt

If you like to know what I'm writing, I try to put it in English on the bottom of each blog post. So just scroll down to read.

Disse små lappene var helt herlige å jobbe med, og jeg liker fargekombinasjonen veldig godt. Det er avkutt fra et annet teppe jeg holder på med. Liker ikke å kaste noe, så da blir det miniquilter eller dokketepper av det.

Nå er toppen ferdig, og jeg har til og med funnet fram vatt og bakstykke. Quiltetråden her tror jeg passer fint, så nå må jeg bestemme meg for hvor jeg skal plassere sømmene.

I love these colours together. The triangles are from Easy Street. I hate to throw away fabrics, even the small pieces. So I make a doll quilt out of them. This is my April goal at ALYoF.

The top is finished, and I've found the right backside and thread. Now on to quilt this little beauty.

Bonusquilt

Da jeg sydde Easy Street, var der mange hurtighjørner i blå og lilla farger som skulle klippes bort. Ettersom jeg aldri klarer å kaste den minste stoffbit, så tok jeg vare på disse hjørnene. Mange nydelig stoffer her, som dere ser.

I kveld tok jeg fram alle hjørnene og sydde trekantblokker. Siden puslet jeg bitene sammen til en blokk. Fikk sydd to blokker, men har hjørner nok til minst fire til. Tenkte det kunne bli en flott miniquilt eller dokketeppe. Hver blokk ble omtrent 4"x4" eller 10x10 cm.

Slik blir det noe av ingenting, liksom.

This is a bonus from Easy Street, the corners of the blue and purple blocks. I have enough corners to make at least four more blocks, and think of making a doll quilt.
