Every week now we get a new block for the quilt-along from Fat Quarter Shop. By now we've got twelve blocks. And as I also make them mirrored, I've got 24 small and sweet 3 1/2" blocks, all made with batiks from Island Batik.

La Passion everywhere

My mini is growing, and I took it out for a photo shoot. I've closed all diamond windows and started the red round. The black round is almost finished. I love making small parts here and there instead of going around with one colour. It's not so boring when I do it like that. Pattern is by Grit Kovacs, originally with 1/2" hexies. But this one has got 1/4" hexagons.

Friends sewing together

Yesterday I was invited to a friend for a day with sewing, chatting, laughing and eating. We cut squares, and each of us started a children's quilt. This is how long we came. Now I have to finish it at home later this month. Thank you Margun for a beautiful day and a delicious lunch.

Orange progress

I've had some progress with my orange blocks. Actually I've joined them all, and made tops for two place mats. I wonder when I will have time to quilt them.

I also made a new pincushion, and got one too. Both are parts of a pincushion swap from Beaquilter.
One of these days Bea is starting a new round (three months) of the swap. So if you like to join, just contact her. It's pure fun.
