2019 Planning Party

Yesterday I looked back at 2018, and now it's time to plan for next year. Perfect then to join Yvonne at Quilting Jetgirl for her planning party. I find it much easier to get things done if they are well planned. I love making lists.

First of all I have to plan and sew for the blog hop with Island Batik in January. This will be my last project for them, as I finish my time as an ambassador after two years. Thank you Island Batik. It's been great, but I have so many other plans for next year. These are the new fabrics I will use, and they're coming to your quilt shops these days.

Speaking of blog hops, I plan to join at least four more, two of them already planned. I love blog hops because I can get some really good ideas, I'll have new friends, finish a project, and there are so much activity coming along on the blogs. This flower I made for a blog hop this year.

I will take part in a show at Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe with my La Passion in May. This will be a great experience, and hopefully inspire me to take part in at least one other show. You can see a drone video of my La Passion in this blog post if you like.

I have lots of UFOs, and hope to finish some of them. The list is long, and I love to start new projects. So I don't think the list will be shorter next year. Anyone else? These are some of the quilts I plan to finish.

My freemotion quilting has never been good. I've thought about taking a class, and this year it will be a reality.

I have two young students (10-11 years old) coming to sew with me once a week. I will continue these afternoons together, as their skills are increasing. I also plan to write an article about them for a Norwegian quilt magazine. Here are Christmas quilts they just made.

I'll continue to take part in Bea's pincushion swap. I make/send and get a pincushion every month. Pure fun. If you like to join for a 3 months round, just contact Bea on her blog. This is the last pincushion I got this year from my friend Margun.

I hope to keep up the contact with my readers and all my quilting friends, and hope to see you all in the new year. Happy New Year to you all!

Planning 2017

Today I found Quilting JET girl's blog, and she's hosting a planning party for 2017. I love to make plans for the new year, and I know I always have more plans than I can overcome. And there are always new challenges coming along during the year. Anyone who knows this feeling already?

I really like to finish my La Passion from Grit's Life, so that I can use 2018 for quilting this top.

Then I will dig out these blocks from an earlier Bonnie Hunter mystery, and at last finish this quilt.

I'm also taking part in Bonnie Hunter's mystery this year, En Provence, and have plans for finishing the top.

I'm always taking part in Bea's pincushion swap. I can recommend it for you all, it's so much fun to have a new pincushion every month. A new chance to join in every third month.

I'm going to join Project Quilting at Persimon Dreams, and hope to finish some small quilts in a week. I love small quilts, like this one.

I know I will be working with many other projects, and I always find new temptations in the quilt world. Maybe I will finish more of my UFOs. Time will show.

I will continue to blog every week, because I love to keep in contact with all my international friends. Thank you all for inspireing me a lot.

Quilting goals for 2016

This is what I plan to sew next year.  Some new projects, and some planned progress on old ones.

I'm going to sew an alphabet quilt. I've just started to cut the squares in bright colours.

La Passion is growing every week. I plan to pass 11 500 hexagons before the end of December next year.

For a long time I've made stars. Now I,m going to put them together, at least make a start.

I'm going to join the Quilty 365, where we applique a circle on a square every day. I'll start the first day of the new year.

I've joined Scandibeehive2, and we're going to make blocks to each other every month of the year. As a kick-off we made pincushions, and I made this for Helene.

I'm going to bind two quilts. They are quilted long ago, but I never finished them.

I'm also going to continue in Bea's pincushion swap. We make and get a pincushion every month, and make friends all over the world.

I nearly forgot the RSC16 challenge with soscrappy. I plan to use up all my scraps, and maybe make some new.

I know that I will start more new things, and make progress on other ongoing projects. I'm always tempted on new and interesting quilts. My words for next year are spontaneity and endurance.

Have a quilty new year!
