First of all I have to plan and sew for the blog hop with Island Batik in January. This will be my last project for them, as I finish my time as an ambassador after two years. Thank you Island Batik. It's been great, but I have so many other plans for next year. These are the new fabrics I will use, and they're coming to your quilt shops these days.
Speaking of blog hops, I plan to join at least four more, two of them already planned. I love blog hops because I can get some really good ideas, I'll have new friends, finish a project, and there are so much activity coming along on the blogs. This flower I made for a blog hop this year.
I will take part in a show at Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe with my La Passion in May. This will be a great experience, and hopefully inspire me to take part in at least one other show. You can see a drone video of my La Passion in this blog post if you like.
I have lots of UFOs, and hope to finish some of them. The list is long, and I love to start new projects. So I don't think the list will be shorter next year. Anyone else? These are some of the quilts I plan to finish.
My freemotion quilting has never been good. I've thought about taking a class, and this year it will be a reality.
I have two young students (10-11 years old) coming to sew with me once a week. I will continue these afternoons together, as their skills are increasing. I also plan to write an article about them for a Norwegian quilt magazine. Here are Christmas quilts they just made.
I'll continue to take part in Bea's pincushion swap. I make/send and get a pincushion every month. Pure fun. If you like to join for a 3 months round, just contact Bea on her blog. This is the last pincushion I got this year from my friend Margun.
I hope to keep up the contact with my readers and all my quilting friends, and hope to see you all in the new year. Happy New Year to you all!

Wow, fantastic sewing plans you have! How awesome you are helping the girls learn to sew/quilt! It’s very rewarding to watch their progress isn’t it. I have a plan for a single year long challenge, but I have proven that a long term challenge is a challenge in it’s for me. LOL. So I just take it as it comes. Happy creative New Year Turid!
ReplyDeleteI love that bundle of fabric you show in your first photo and of course always love your La Passion - the pin cushion is pretty darn cute also!
ReplyDeleteYour students made lovely Christmas quilts. Well done to them and to their teacher!
ReplyDeleteMy plans for next year are to complete some half-done projects, and end the year with less stash than I start with.
Takk for at du deler. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a lot of great plans for the year ahead, and I hope you have a lot of quilting joy as you work on these goals. Thank you for sharing and linking up with the Planning Party!
ReplyDeleteThe ambassador "job" is time consuming and I do think you have to know when it is time to move on. I love the goals you have set for yourself and look forward to following along. Happy New Year!
