RSC for October is yellow

I love wonky stars, and today a yellow star is born. And the other blocks are striving to come together as a Halloween quilt later this month.

Yellow October

We have a beautiful weather these days. And the yellow colours are popping up in nature. Yellow is the October colour for RSC too. So I took my blocks our for some fun pictures.

Out to look for autumn

It's autumn, and the colours are changing. With a beautiful weather today, I went out with my just finished hot pad to take some photoes. I've also made some of the blocks from a class I took last weekend, all in red. And the small blocks are increasing in number day by day. Happy to have made something red for the RSC.

Can you see who's living in this house?

Red September

The nature is turning red these days. And the colour for RSC is also red. So I combined these two, went into the nature and took some photoes of my red blocks. On the last picture you can see that I've cut out pieces for a workshop tomorrow.

Red Saturday

Today I found a plastic bag with red scraps, and started sewing. I never know where I end when I dig in old scraps. I also had to supply with some other colours. So this is what I made today.

1. Three bags for lavendel. Will fill them later. These will be great gifts for friends.

2. Two really small quilts to put in windows for cards.

3. Started two log cabin blocks. Will find out later what to use them for.

4. A little house block with a sweet cat.

5. Cut some 2 1/2" squares for a future project.

Purple Saturday

Today I've played around with some of my smallest scraps. This is how long I came. And even the nature is purple just now.

Last orange Saturday

I've taken a step forward with my orange blocks. They are going into a project I've planned for next month. Then I've made a wonky flying geese block. And I'm sure some of you will find out what this is going to be in the end.

RSC orange and Scrap Happy February

This month is orange, and I've prepared two scrappy stars for new pincushions. And two long blocks are ready for a special project.

As usual on the 15th, I'm making 2 new blocks for this scrappy quilt. More scrappy projects at Rutigt.

Progress on my orange blocks today. And I saw my first coltsfoot this year. Spring is in the air.

Scrappy green

I'm working with my green scraps today, and trying to make 5" squares and other shapes. One of the squares I even used for a pincushion.
