Q4 FAL -first finish - bed quilt

Leanne's FAL gives me the inspiration I need to finish some of my UFOs. This one has been on my list for many months, but at last it is finished. I've used all day on that binding, and went out into the rain to take some pictures.

2016 Finish-A-Long Q4

Last weekend I went to a quilter's gathering with about two hundred other Norwegian quilters. I took a class with Inger Naterstad, and we learnt to sew flowers. I plan to make a runner, and have to sew two more flowers. Leanne's FAL is the right opportunity to get it finished.

For the third, and hopefully last time, I try to finish this bed quilt. I'm closer than ever with all the finished blocks. Look at all the other's planned finishes at Leanne's linky party.

Q3 FAL -first finish table cloth

My first finish in Leanne's FAL this quarter is this advent runner or table cloth. So good to finish something, even if it is a small finish.

2016 Finish-A-Long Q3

The latest three months I've not finished much. Hope to finish some more projects the next months. If you like to see what others are planning to finish, jump over to the linky party.

I've found the right background for this elephant quilt, and this time I think it will be possible to finish it.

I've found the right frame for this little advent runner. Now I think I can finish it.

The third one is this bed quilt. I've just some few more blocks to make. Then it's quilting and binding.

Q2 FAL -first finish hot pad

Får gjort ferdig noe av det jeg har begynt på gjennom en slik utfordring som jeg får i Leanne's FAL. Har startet dette kvartalet med den minste quilten jeg har meldt på.

Oh no, we got more snow tonight.



















I'm able to finish something through the challenge in Leanne's FAL. I started this round with the smallest quilt.

2016 Finish-A-Long Q2

I've already finished some of my UFOs through  a finish-a-long from Leanne and her friends. These are the four projects I'd like to finish the next three months. You can see what great projects others are planning to finish if you jump over to the linky party.

Number one is the Elephant Parade. Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilt made the pattern, and I made all the blocks a year ago. Then I didn't have more white fabric for the sashing. Now I've found a fabric with small dots to go with the white.

The second project is this blue and white bed quilt. I need some more blocks, and then it's quilting and binding.  This one I think I have to send to a longarm quilter.

This quilt I'd like to make bigger by framing it, quilt and bind. Found a perfect fabric for the frame.

The last one is a mug rug with a cup. It needs quilting and binding.

Q1 FAL - third finish Sampler quilt

Dette blir den tredje ferdige quilten i Leanne's FAL. Skulle vel egentlig ha blitt ferdig før jul, men så ble det i alle fall til påske. I utgangspunktet var det var Temecula sin julekalender. Trykk på lenken og finn alle postene om denne quilten, samt lenke til mønsteret.

This is the third quilt I finish for Leanne's FAL. This was originally supposed to be a Christmas quilt, but ended up as an Easter quilt. It was Temecula's advent calendar last year. Q1 FAL - second finish Denim love

Andre quilten som er ferdig i Leanne's FAL. Janne har quiltet denne for lenge siden. Det var vanskelig å finne rett lukkekant, men så fant jeg den tilslutt. Jeg tok med meg en venninne på picnic til en sandstrand, og fikk tatt noen fine bilder. Du finner framgangsmåte for denne quilten på bloggen min her.

At last this quilt was finished, the second in Leanne's FAL. Janne quilted it many months ago. It was a bit difficult to find the right binding, but here it is. I invited my friend for a picnic on the beach to take some nice photoes. You can find a tutorial to make this quilt yourself on my blog here. And here you can find my finish-along list from January.

Q1 FAL - first finish

I take part in a finish-a-long  at Leanne's blog this year. This scrap quilt is my first finish. The top is all scraps, and I love the way it came out. Sølvis Quiltestudio did the longarm quilting for me. The quilt is 35"x53", and perfect for my new sofa. Here you can find my finish-along list from January.

2016 Finish-A-Long Q1

To finish some of my UFOs, I decided to take part in a finish-a-long. Leanne and some of her fellow quilting bloggers are hosting this along. Jump over to the linky party to see what great projects others are planning to finish.

The first quilt I'd love to finish is this denim quilt. I made it long ago, and my friend Janne quilted it. Now I have to bind it, and get it ready for use.

The next one is another quilt needing binding. It's a typical scrap quilt, and it's quilted by Sølvi. I love scrap quilts, and I'm looking forward to finishing this one. Think it will be perfect for my new sofa.

In December I took part in Temecula's advent calendar. We made twelve mini blocks, and now I'd like to quilt and bind this little beauty.

At last I've started an alphabet quilt. This will be a fun baby quilt, and I hope to finish it in a months time.
