Slow stitching

Last week I showed you an EPP flower, and now I've used it for a new drawstring bag. And I've made another flower. My mini La Passion is growing in different directions. You may find out if you study the picture.

Slow stitching and an old sewing machine

Today I found a box with some EPP pieces. I made a flower and appliqued it to a fabric. I think I know what to use it for. And I had to sew some quarter inch hexies too. Happy also to show you my "new" sewing machine I got from a friend.

Closing windows

I have twelve windows to close here, and the second was closed yesterday. There are 49 hexies in every diamond shaped window, and all hexies are 1/4". I've made the two flowers for the next windows today.

Sunday slow down

I've really slowed down on this mini. But it has grown some hundred hexies the last weeks. So here it is. Because the hexies are just quarterinch, you barely see the progress. I've started to baste black hexies for the next round. Pattern by Grit Kovacs, if you like to give it a try.

My little yellow quilt has grown a bit too.

Slow stitching on a Sunday

The last two weeks I've made lots of hexies for my mini La Passion. First I made six more flowers, and then I made six other sections. All of them are now joined to the main work, so I'm quite happy with that. The last sections I had to take outside, as we have snow just now.

I finished my little mini hexagon doll quilt today. This has got 163 quarter inch hexies. It's beautiful.

I found some triangle blocks in a bag, and made a new one too. I don't know what this is going to be, and can't remember if I had a plan when I started this. Maybe another doll quilt?

Today I've had a cosy day with hand sewing, sports on TV, coffee, gingerbread and tangerines. My mini La Passion is growing little by little, and this week I've made 252 quarterinch hexies. Look here who won pincushions for Christmas. Both of them were no-reply bloggers, so I have to be contacted within a week so that you can get your present.

RSC og EPP

Kun én gul blokk denne uken. Svært overrasket over å være den eneste.
Just one block this week. And so surprised to be the only one.

Men det ble smil og glede etterhvert.
But as he understood he would represent this week, he just smiled.

Så nå har jeg to.
So now there's two.

Flere gule blokker

Tre nye gule blokker denne uken for RSC. Kjekt å sy EPP trekanter.

Three new yellow blocks for RSC this week. So nice to sew EPP triangles. Inspiration from another linked blog last week.

Time to show progress on my mini La Passion. But with 1/4" hexies it's not going fast. I was also tempted by Eagles'WingsQuilts to try some triangle paper pieced blocks.

Then I've  hand stitched a bit on my secret project for Bea's blog hop. Come back to find out more from me and the other participants tomorrow.

It's been a wonderful day, and I've been outside on my blue bench all day with my half hexies. One day this is going to be finished too.

Slow Sunday Stitching

Today was the perfect day for slow stitching, as we almost have summer here. I've been outside in the sun sewing six new blocks on this quilt.
