La Passion

Three years ago I finished this hexagon quilt for an exhibition in Germany. It is a pattern from Grit Kovacs, and there are 17 300 hexagons in it, size 1/2". It's hand sewn and hand quilted, and you can read more about it if you click La Passion in the side bar.

As the quilt is about 2,6 m square, it's not possible to hang in on the wall. It's been in a bag now for three years. I was so happy when I was invited for a new exhibition in Molde, Norway a couple of weeks ago. There I also had a lecture telling about my life as a quilter, showing many of my quilts.

Since it's been a while, now is the time to also show you this quilt again. On the second picture you can see the inspiration for the chosen colours. It's a bit of Norwegian nature.

  2. can you fit it on your bed instead seeing as you do not have wall space?
