This week will be full of stripes in Carla's Show Your Stripes blog hop. I'm so happy to start the party today. And you will find more stripes and inspiration by visiting her blog through the link above.
I love working with selvages. So I made two hot pads for this hop. If you never used those parts of the fabrics, you should try now. These are 7"x11", a perfect size to make a first try. If you need more help to start a selvage quilt, you'll find a great post about it at Vroomans Quilts.
I also made some round potholders. These are so useful, and you can't burn your hands when using them. I took them out, where they also can be used.
A little denim pouch is always fun to make. Here is one with stripes.
Not a blog hop without a new pincushion from me. This one was so much fun to make, and I used my tiniest scraps. Do you think you ever can get too many pincushions?
Be sure to visit my fellow hoppers today. Here is the list:

I am going to have to start using my selvages. Lovely projects.
SvarSlettPotholders are a great idea!
SvarSlettYour striped projects are all fantastic! I really love those hot pads!
SvarSlettGreat projects using selvages, I'm going to have to play with mine.
SvarSlettI love your selvedge stripe mats! Selvedges make for a very fun design and conversation piece. I save mine and use them in projects here and there. I’m always on the lookout for inspiration for sewing with them. I love the round potholders too! How fun to use those! They look great in the snow too. Ha! The little zip pouch is sweet. They are always useful. I always look forward to seeing your newest pin cushion. If I remember correctly, you keep your extras in a jar. I might have to start collecting (or making) tiny pin cushions specifically for the purpose of having a jar of them to decorate my sewing space.
SvarSlettLove your selvedge hot pads. and the round one with the striped edge is groovy!
SvarSlettFun use of selvedges -- pot holders. I never seem to make them but boy do I need some new ones! Maybe one of these days I'll give it a try.
SvarSlettGreat use of selvedges, pot holders. I think those are in my future now after seeing more than one quilter make them. You added a pocket for the hand, which is the most clever idea ever!! I think they came out beautifully. NOt to mention your pin cushion, zippered bag and so many stripey wonders!!
SvarSlettOkay, okay! You've convinced me to finally save some of those eye catching selveges and to start small perhaps with a mug rug. Thanks for sharing.
