If you need something new for your kitchen, this blog hop must be perfect for you. It's hosted by Carla on her blog Creatin' in the Sticks, I'm so happy to have the chance to start the ball. You will find new ideas every day for almost a week from all my fellow participants.
The first I made were these pot holders. I love scraps, and could use some of them here. And I'm pretty happy with how they came out. Size: 7 1/4"x10 1/4".
Here are more pictures of these beautiful pot holders. I think I'm in love with them already.
I planned to make a runner to go with the pot holders. But as I already had fallen in love with them, I changed my plan, and tried them with another colour. And the weather has given me possibilities to take them out of the kitchen for a photo shoot.
The last thing I made for this hop was a new hanging kitchen towel. So easy to make and so useful to have in my kitchen.
Be sure to visit my fellow hoppers today to find lots of great ideas for your kitchen. You'll find the entire list of hoppers at Carla's blog here. Thank you Carla for this nice blog hop.
I always make a new pincushion for the blog hops. This time I made two, so here they are. Pincushions in the kitchen? Oh yes, I keep pincushions in every room in my house.
Your pot holders / placemats look fantastic. I really love the blue version and your pincushions are cute. You made me giggle when you said you have pincushions in all the rooms in your house :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful group of projects! Your placemats are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your potholders! Both versions are beautiful. Those pincushions are awesome too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects! Love the pot holders, the red ones are my fav.
ReplyDeleteI love your little potholders. The blue ones are my favorite. I love that you have pincushions in every room--I might have to adopt that idea. I am always sewing/binding/basting etc all over the house due to keeping an eye on the kids and I find pins all over the place.
ReplyDeleteLots of great projects! Thanks for sharing. I love the low volume fabrics with just the little bit of color. It looks modern and interesting with your great choices.
ReplyDeleteYour pot holders look awesome! How well they go with a setting. Especially the candy setting! Ha! Making them in other colors is a great idea too. ReplyDeleteThe fabrics you used on your potholders is perfect and works so well with any color. I love towels that hand on my oven handle, no more searching for where I set them down at. There is no one who can compare to you when it comes to taking photos. I am in love with your eye for perfect composition!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful place mats and pot holders!
ReplyDeleteAwesome projects for the Hop, Turid!! You didn't mention what size those pot holders turned out. Would you share that information, please? I'm always interested in finding out what size works best.
ReplyDeleteLovin the pot holders. Great use of scraps and so beautiful to use at the table. regarding your pin cushions in every room, I don't have them in every room but I'm betting every room has at least 1 + pin of some sort looking for trouble. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love them, they are adorable! So nice to have additional pin cushions, too!
ReplyDeleteLovely projects! Thank you for sharing with us.
ReplyDeletePincushions are a treasure whether used or not. :) Loved the potholders, too. I know my husband would love to have one. Noticed the cloth behind your potholders; love it. I have one with the exact same edging as yours though it's devoid of the fancy work in the middle. Do you know what the needlework is called?
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful simplicity of these!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and pretty projects.
ReplyDeleteYour potholders are beautiful! Such a great use of scraps, and they look so pretty on your table and diplayed outdoors too. Your photos are wonderful! Looks like spring is around the corner.
ReplyDeleteLove the potholders. That is one thing I should make more of. My pot holder drawer holds such drab and ugly things and a few scrappy potholders is just the ticket. Thanks for hopping with us. Love your pictures!
