Tilbake til fortiden

Denne quilten har jeg ikke hatt framme på et halvt år. Fant den da jeg skulle til Nordfjordeid for noen uker siden. Hadde et par blomster ferdigsydd, og sydde to nye. Nå fikk jeg i alle fall festet disse til hovedarbeidet, uten at det ble noen særlig større av den grunn. Sekskantene er bare 1/4". Så får jeg se hvor lenge jeg orker å holde på.

Moralen her er at jeg aldri mer skal begynne på et arbeid med håndsøm uten å ha tenkt gjennom hvordan det skal bli tilslutt.

This quilt has been in a bag for half a year now. I had two flowers, made two new, and joined them to the mothership. Didn't see much progress, because the hexies are only 1/4". I don't even know where to end this work yet.

But I've found out that I will never, ever start a new hexie project without a pattern to follow.

  1. Oh welcome to my world--I began my hexie project "Monet's Garden" without a plan and I am stuck. I am going to print some of that hexie graph paper....I think yours is lovely with those turquoise paths...so pretty hugs, Julierose

  6. It's fabulous! Even if you only grow this tiny garden by a few flowers every year, it is so lovely! How much of the green pathway fabric do you have? That might be the deciding factor on the finished size.
