Type or text

This month the theme for Art Journal Journey is TYPE. I had so many plans in my head, but when I try to put it down on my denim, it isn't actually what I had thought. Still, I'm developing my skills, and I have a new page for my art journal. As it was difficult to type on fabric, I've used some text on cards and fabrics.

  1. This is so different and I love it!
Lots of different textures in there with the different fabrics and the card. Love how you have got so many types of advertisements in and so many different types of patterns - you have even made your own patterns with stitching.
I love the piece that begins with the advert for typewriters, it looks straight from a newspaper, and the little strip about eating and ugly makes me smile.
The stars are lovely, the heart piece is lovely - I have so enjoyed this and you should be proud of what you have achieved. So much work has gone into this and it shows.
Thank you for entering my theme at AJJ.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  2. You did find such cool type for this page. I love this fabric journal page. That pocket is great, as if the little bird on the fabric tag. I think the combination of fabric and paper makes in interesting piece.I'm so glad you got this posted for this challenge since it ends soon. Thanks so much for joining us for Neet's type challenge. 3. Your art journal fabric pages all looks so different and will be so fun to look through often. This new page is wonderful with your many types and writing styles on fabric and on paper as a collage. Well done Turid!

  4. I always love it when you share a fabric entry for AJJ, Turid. That was a fun take on Neet's theme. I really enjoyed the old ads, especially the one with the typewriter. I like how you used the fabric names as part of the fonts. This was a very clever and fun entry for Neet's theme and I am glad you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey, dear.
