RSC16 - a challenge

One of my challenges for this year is to sew blocks from scraps. The colour of the month is blue, and since I have lots of blue scraps, this was easy. I chose blocks that also will use up much og my black and white scraps. These are my first blocks. I plan to frame them in blue in the end.













































En av utfordringene jeg har kastet med med på dette året er å sy blokker av rester. Fargen nå i januar er blå, og det passet bra, for jeg har fullt av blå rester. Blokken jeg har valgt bruker også opp rester av svarte og hvite stoffer. Her ser du de første blokkene, og jeg har en plan om å sy blå kanter på dem før jeg syr dem sammen.

    Jättefina! Jag gillar blått, också får jag väl säga. Man kan ju gilla många färger. Du påminner mig om att jag ska kolla vilken BOM jag ska vara med i.

    I love the idea of the blues in the middle. I'm saving a ton of neutrals...for a someday project. RIght now I just enjoy collecting them...but that's the collecting your print borders reminded me off.

    these look so good and loving the background type fabrics you have used all new to me, not sure if they are before |I started quilting or that they were not available here i the UK but would have loved to have some in my stash tough I have said no new material as have too much already, think that applies to most quilters!

    What a great way to use up those little squares! I have a lot of white and black prints to use up somehow. Will have to keep this in mind!
