PQQ2020 - Q3 Vintage
I'm taking part in project quilting quarantine with Kim and Trish, and the theme is vintage. I've saved my husband's old shirts for years, and now the time had come to use them for something fresh. This is the result, and everything in this quilt is reused, even the batting. Size: 37"x44".

What a great memory quilt, Turid! I love the look of it. The check border is perfect for those plaid shirt pieces. It looks like even the binding is from the shirts. How good is that. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cozy looking quilt! Great use of those "vintage" shirts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! Good job!
ReplyDeleteThe shirt fabrics are wonderful! Stunning border.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to take out my box of plaid fabrics and play. Thank you. I love your quilt, it is so cheerful. Thanks for linking with Design Wall Mondays. Judy
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very snuggly warm quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to recycle your husband's shirts. I hope this quilt gets a whole lot of use and love. Thanks for sharing at the Chameleon's Colour party.
