HeLP for hexie-aholics

I have many hexagon works going, and this one is not on my list right now. So I didn't work on it this last year. I have to decide what to do with it, and I hope you'll help me. It has about 3500 hexies sized 1/4", and measures about 28"x20".

What do you mean I can do with it now? I have green fabric to still continue. Or should I add a border and something else outside? I'm so happy to hear from you now.

  1. it's pretty, but sure finish and make a border, maybe a skinny red or blue and then large green, it's a nice baby quilt or to hang up.

  3. It looks fantastic and the hexagons are so tiny.
The idea form Beaquilter is very good.

  4. En bred grønn ytre bord vil gjøre denne nydelige quilten til en blomstereng. Driver med et lite papirsøm prosjkt ogs. Når fjerner man papiret egentlig?

  5. I like how it looks on the table - could you make it a bit longer (with more hexies or just something else on the ends) to make it into a table runner? then it could be out and enjoyed every day!

  6. It is very stunning. I like the green background. What about a large border, with some applique to finish it off? Or you could do multiple borders to bring it up to a size you want. I would probably keep going making hexagon flowers until it told me to stop and finish it. Is this where you are now? It may have to go back into the cupboard until you want to work on it!!

  7. No don't finish it - parcel it up and send it to me to own and finish. I will pay the postage, no problems there! lol
    Its wonderful!
I can see it with narrow edgings in light and darker blue with a slightly wider outer red edging?

  8. I love this, especially the green background, so I would probably keep going, but I like the other suggestions here too.

  9. Beautiful!!! If it was me, I'd have these hexies on the bottom of a wall hanging. You could appliqued something of nature on top such as grass, tulips, roses, daisies or crocus growing out of them by with applique. then use that green for your binding and borders if needed.

It's perfect and lovely whatever you choose.
