Recently I came over a shop selling silk sari yarn. I bought some to see if it was possible to use it for quilting. There were narrow stripes, and I picked all the blue/green ones to make a new fabric. Then I could practice some free motion quilting on that fabric. Suddenly I had one, and soon two small and beautiful silk pouches.

Beautiful fabric, and your pouches are lovely! It's a great idea to use silk this way.

ReplyDeleteIt’s a sweet little pouch. That is a great way to test out a fabric that you aren’t used to sewing with.
