This week is the yearly pincushion parade going on HERE. So happy to show you some of my favorite pincushions. I've made some new pincushions lately with inspiration from #pincushionparadebloghop on Instagram. But first I have to show you Crazybird, my new friend in the sewing room. You can see more pictures of him here.
I love to make star pincushions. Here are a few of them, all made with scraps.
And I often try to use some selvages for pincushions.
Here's a jar with a pincushion on top, made with hexies. Small gift pincushions inside.
These are my blog hop pincushions so far. More to come all June.
And I can also show you some of the pincushions I've got in Bea's pincushion swap. You can join if you like, for three months at the time. Just send a word to Bea on her blog.
As you might have understood by now, I love pincushions, both to make and to get them.

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pincushions you’ve showed us. Your Parade is wonderful. That jar pincushion is so clever. I imagine the jar could also be filled with buttons or other sewing notions, a perfect gift.

ReplyDeleteWell, I have to say, crazy bird is one of my favourite pin cushions ever! Thanks for the link so I could go back and admire him again. His glasses are such a hoot, that for once I might actually put my scissors away where they belonged if I had his brother. :) Thanks for sharing at the Chameleon's Colour & Inspiration party.
ReplyDeleteThese are great but I know that can't be all of them!?
ReplyDeleteMe encantan el gran colorido de todos y cada uno de los alfileteros, todos muy bellos pero el pajarillo se lleva los aplausos
