Twice a year Amy is hosting a blogger's quilt festival on her blog. I've seen many beautiful quilts there the last festivals. This year I'm participating there myself for the first time. And I tell you, this is exciting. Visit Amy yourself, and get tons of inspiration from quilters all over the world.
This quilt is my all time favorite, and I'd like to share it with you all. I was inspired by a quilt I saw in an exhibition some years ago. I've done hexagons for many years, but this was different, with both hexies and half hexies. And the half hexies are puzzeled in a way that it seems like triangles. You have to study it yourself to understand. So here it is.
Details:
Finished quilt measures: 59"x 81"
Special techniques: English Paper Piecing, hexagons and half hexagons
Quilting: Hand quilted my me
Category: Favorite hand quilted quilt
Thanks again to Amy for this festival. And thanks for visiting my blog.
