Modern batik challenge with Island Batik

This is the only thing I came up with for the June challenge with Island Batik this month. I made a modern miniquilt for Curated Quilts' challenge in the beginning of the month, and it's actually too small here. I went to visit my daughter and grandson and got an aching back. I couldn't go home, as I was unable to sit in a bus for 10 hours with my backache. So here I am, without my fabrics and my sewing machine. So this have to be my quilt for now. I'll see if I can catch up when I come home next week. And best of all, my back is much better now.

This quilt is called "Directions", and is 12,5"x12,5". All materials in this quilt is given me by Island Batik. I used batik (Island Batik), batting (Hobbs) and thread (Aurifil).

Last month all the Island Batik Ambassadors made pillows. Joan made a review of all the beautiful pillows made, and You can see and get inspiration on her blog here.

  3. Skönt att höra att din rygg är bättre! Jag gillar din miniquilt! Jättesnyggt mönster!

  4. Turid, this is lovely! I think it's perfect for the challenge. So sorry to hear about your back. I hurt mine too recently. It's getting better though thank goodness. Glad to hear yours is too. Hope you're feeling completely healed soon. Meanwhile, thank you for linking to Wednesday Wait Loss.

  5. Looks great! I couldn't sit on a bus for 10 hours without a backache. I feel for you. I was down with my knee and back for several weeks. Finally got a shot in my knee and feeling much better.

  6. I couldn’t sit on a bus that long. I’m a long standing back sufferer, so I have an idea of what you are going through!
I loooooove your sweet mini quilt!
I am so glad you are feeling better.
    Barbara xx
