The theme from Art Journal Journey this month is to make our own background for a journal page. I'm just now making art journals for children, or quiet books if you like. And I'm making backgrounds with old fabrics and scraps. So it's also a recycling project. Here are some of my quilted backgrounds.
After I've quilted them, they get an activity on top. Here you can see a space ship, an elephant with a secret behind his ear and a pair of shoes. Children love to look into these journals and find out what to do on all the pages.

Of course, the focal images are great, too. Love elephant. Thanks for sharing these with8 us at Art Journal Journey using Mia's theme.
