Where Flowers Bloom Blog Hop

We've had a fantastic spring in southern parts of Norway this year. So happy then to be a part of Carla's blog hop on her blog Creatin' in the Sticks this week. Scroll down to the end of this blog post and find the links to all the beautiful blooming projects from my fellow bloggers.

My garden is blooming, and my quilting projects too. Here are my mini hexagon flowers belonging to La Passion. I actually make it in two different sizes and colorways. This is the smaller one and these hexagons are 1/4". You can read more about those projects here and here.

But for this blog hop I made something I've thought about trying for a long time. I was inspired by my rhododendrons in my garden, as you probably can understand.

So this is what I made. As they were fun to make, I actually made three of them, and they are all different. No pattern, just free sewing. They can be used as hot pads or just something beautiful to look at in your kitchen.

  3. I love your flowers - beautiful! I love rhododendrons. When I was a home health nurse, I passed a yard everyday that was full of them. I had not seen them before so one day I just stopped and knocked on the door. The owner was very kind and told me all about rhododendrons! Thanks for sharing your creations! And, oh my goodness, those tiny hexies! I admire you for working with those!

Yes I'll admit it, I'm nosy. I went browsing and enjoyed my self with your projects. I especially liked your wonky star block, the colors you chose were great.
